Shi Davidi grew up avidly reading and watching the news and following sports with his parents and turned his upbringing into an extensive journalism career featuring stops at The Canadian Press, Jerusalem Post, Japan Times and, currently, Sportsnet.
An award-winning writer and editor, Shi has become a household name by covering major sporting events like the World Series, Olympic Games, Stanley Cup and NBA finals, and Grey Cup championships.
His passion for baseball led Shi to Sportsnet in 2011 as an MLB Insider, columnist and TV analyst, becoming one of the country's leading baseball voices. He also serves as chair of the Toronto chapter of the Baseball Writers' Association of America. In the off-season, Davidi spends his time as an instructor guiding aspiring sports journalists on the art of writing, reporting, and interviewing.
